A Little Dog. A Big Change in Perspective.
Teddy came into our lives, at a time when companionship felt more important than ever. After a long period of thinking, searching and making sure it was the right decision, we chose a little toy poodle, a girl who would become such a big part of our lives.

We chose a toy poodle because we wanted a small dog who could easily come along with us, but who was so much more than a little lap dog. The breed felt right for us: intelligent, affectionate, playful and full of life.

And then came Teddy.

Meet Teddy.
Teddy is affectionate, playful, sweet, cheerful and full of energy. She has a very sensitive side, too. She loves her food, is happiest with a ball nearby and is always ready to share a little of what she has.

As she has grown, we have come to know her better and better. We have learned what makes her happy, what she enjoys and when she needs a little more rest and quiet.

As lively as she can be, Teddy is also quite sensitive to too much stimulation. She needs her moments of calm just as much as she needs play, walks and time together.

Living with her has taught us to pay closer attention, not only to what she loves, but also to what she needs.

Teddy has become such a close part of our lives that sometimes we wish she could stay with us forever. But a dog’s life is so much shorter than our own, which makes the time we share feel even more precious.

We want to give her the happiest, healthiest and most comfortable life we can. And that has changed the way we look at the things we choose for her.

Because She Can’t Tell Us.
When choosing something for Teddy, we find ourselves asking questions we might not have thought about before.

How does the fabric feel against her skin? Is it comfortable for her? Can she move freely? Does the fabric breathe? What are the ingredients in the products we use to care for her? And are we choosing something because it is good for her, or simply because we like the way it looks or smells?

In the past, we have bought clothing made from synthetic fabrics that felt too tight or too warm and did not breathe the way we wanted it to. We have also tried grooming products with very strong fragrances and other ingredients that made us question whether they were really the right choice for her.

These experiences have made us think more carefully. Because if something does not feel right to us, why would we choose it for Teddy?

Dogs cannot explain in words what feels uncomfortable, what bothers them or what they would rather avoid. They depend on us to notice. That is why it is so important for us to pay attention, understand their needs and choose well.

Looking beautiful should never come at the expense of feeling comfortable, being able to move freely or receiving the care they deserve.
